Encouraging market leads to experienced hire for estate agent

Hartburn estate agent Adore Properties has welcomed experienced lettings agent Anne-Marie Nwaogwugwu to their team as they prepare for a busy start to 2018.

The appointment of Anne-Marie, who has over three decades of experience as an agent, follows a flurry of activity in the housing market in the run up to the end of 2017.

The trend looks set to continue in the New Year as many find themselves out of negative equity for the first time since 2010 and prices continue to creep back to pre-2008 levels.

Anne-Marie holds an NFOPP technical award level 3 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the local housing market.

She has previously marketed and sold homes across TS Postcodes, including Yarm and Stokesley, as well as Adore’s immediate area of Hartburn.

“It’s great to be working with an agency that prides itself on building long-lasting relationships with customers and their families,” said Anne-Marie.

“The best thing about my new role is that we’re encouraged to treat our customers as individuals, to go the extra mile and really address the changing needs of our clients as they go through the buying or selling process.

“I think, in an industry that is increasingly having to compete with online rivals and ‘quick sale’ alternatives, being able to understand the needs of our clients, and having the knowledge and experience to help solve their problems, is a major asset.”

Adore Properties managing director Jeremy O’Connor said: “We’re delighted to welcome such an experienced agent to our team.

“Anne-Marie has a clear skill for matching up people and property and I’m sure she’s going to prove a big asset to us, particularly as we move into what is shaping up to be a very busy 2018.

“The market in Teesside has always been fairly resilient, compared to the UK as a whole; however, with rents now higher than mortgages and a raft of incentives continuing to entice first-time buyers, we are seeing plenty of movement.

“The key, as always, is ensuring not only that there is enough stock available to meet demand, but that buyers see the potential in the stock that is available.

“I’m sure that with all of her knowledge and enthusiasm, Anne-Marie will prove very adept at helping us achieve this goal.”
