There’s a feast in store for local foodies as Restaurant Week returns to Middlesbrough for 2015.
It’s a chance to tuck into the town’s huge range of eateries showcasing cuisine from around the globe – and take advantage of some great offers into the bargain.
Last year’s inaugural event proved a hit with diners and restaurants alike, and now there’s a chance for more venues to get involved in the 2015 promotion.
Restaurant Week 2015 – in partnership with the Growing Middlesbrough local food initiative – runs from Monday, July 13 to Sunday, July 19, and businesses have until Monday, March 9 to sign up.
Restaurants taking part so far include Bahia Bistro (pictured above), Al Forno, Gengis @ Thistle, Dosa Houze, Kebabish Bar and Grill, Pixies Diner, Taste of Arabia, Uno Momento and the Brasserie Hudson Quay.
Councillor Charlie Rooney, Middlesbrough Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, said: “Middlesbrough’s already well known for its diverse range of restaurants and bistros, and Restaurant Week is a great showcase for that offer.
“Diners eating at participating restaurants can look forward to special menus, discounts and other offers, and we hope their experience will encourage them to come back, and spread the word.
“I’d urge any restaurants not signed up to get involved in this exciting initiative – we know from last year’s event that those taking part benefited from the promotion and saw an increase in business.”
Participating venues must have a minimum hygiene rating of 3, open in the evening and have waiter service.
