We still believe! That’s the message from Cleveland Centre as Boro prepare for their league finale against Brighton – and then the promotion play-offs.

This Friday (May 1), on the eve of Boro’s sell-out Riverside clash, Middlesbrough’s largest shopping centre will be backing the final promotion push with a mega Flag Day.

Boro mascot Roary the Lion will join Cleveland Centre staff to give out 5,000 free mini-flags to shoppers, carrying the ‘Come on Boro!’ slogan.

As a ‘Captain’ of Boro charity, the MFC Foundation, Cleveland Centre has also erected a giant banner carrying the message ‘#BELIEVE’, calling on fans to keep the faith during the end-of-season finale.

Centre manager Graeme Skillen said: “As a proud Middlesbrough company with official Boro links, Cleveland Centre wanted to nail our colours to the mast with a colourful show of support for the promotion push.

“As much as we’d love to believe Boro could beat Brighton 18-0 and pip Bournemouth to the automatic promotion spot, realistically we’re sounding the battle cry for the play-offs, hopefully culminating with victory at Wembley at the end of May.”

Cleveland Centre plans to run another Boro-themed promotion ahead of the play-off semi-final.
