A national property management company has been appointed to manage leading business and science park the Wilton Centre.
Fasset is tasked with enhancing the services and support provided to tenant companies based there.
Owners say tenants at the Wilton Centre are already benefitting from a revitalised support network that aims to build on the site’s reputation as a world-leading business and science park.
In April the existing facilities management team at the centre, which is located between Middlesbrough and Redcar, became part of the national facilities and property management company, Fasset.
Formed in 2005, Fasset has a strong track record of managing successful business parks.
This includes the majority of sites in the Business Environments for Science and Technology (BEST) network, the largest privately-owned portfolio of science and technology parks in the UK which includes the Wilton Centre.
It also manages Langstone Technology Park in Havant, another site in the BEST network, which has enjoyed occupancy levels of between 97% – 99% for the past five years.
Fasset, which also runs two other sites in the BEST network, Hexagon Tower in Manchester and Kent Science Park, manages a number of other sites in the UK.
They include Hersham Place Technology Park, the former head office of Air Products UK in Hersham, Surrey, Caswell Science and Technology Park, based in Northamptonshire and smaller sites for Kier and Southern Water in Southampton.
Michael Cripps, Fasset’s BEST Network Operations and Finance Controller, says it’s an exciting opportunity to provide the Wilton Centre’s very strong core management team with a more proactive support network that will allow them to enhance the park and services enjoyed by the tenants.
“Fasset has significant experience in delivering high quality services for tenants and fully understands the role of the landlord, service delivery provider and the tenant,” he added.
“Wilton Centre is part of the BEST Network, which was created to enhance the tenant experience, and our role is to ensure there is a consistent delivery of services within the Network.
“We will create a recognisable brand for all service delivery staff at the Centre and look to continually improve the standards of customer service.
“Our overriding aim is to ensure that Wilton Centre is a location that tenants are proud to bring customers to and that enables them to attract the best staff.”
Wilton Centre site director Steve Duffield said the new structure is very welcome news for tenants.
He added: “We pride ourselves on the professional and high quality support we offer tenants which Fasset will now enable us to continue to deliver and build on even further.”
