Out There is the name for a lifestyle destination platform and sophisticated marketing tool that already has a subscription following of two million people, including 240,000 across the North East.

Out There acts as a marketing platform for the leisure, tourism, hospitality and lifestyle business, whilst providing a lifestyle destination for public users to discover a wide range of promotions, activities, events and entertainment opportunities.

Out There on Teesside and Durham is looking to significantly increase a client list that already features such well-known North East venues as Rockliffe Hall, Lightwater Valley, Ripon Racecourse, the National Glass Centre in Sunderland, Hardwick Hall, Ramside Hall, Cleveland Tontine, Slaley Hall and Newcastle City Hall.

The new company has evolved from a previous business known as My Travel Pal, which had built up a significant following from lifestyle and leisure businesses as well as the public across the North-east and the UK.

Regional director Richie Allan became the first owner of any of the national company’s 30 franchises in 2014 when he launched the Teesside business, closely followed by the Durham operation.

Now he will lead Out There’s offering across the two regions, providing new destination platforms and bespoke promotional packages designed for to be accessible for every business in the leisure, tourism, hospitality or lifestyle industries.

Born in Stockton, Teesside University graduate Richie has detailed experience of the leisure and lifestyle business.

“Having been involved in marketing throughout my career, I liked the idea of running a business that helps to market other businesses using a tried and tested model,” he said.

“We give local, regional and national businesses involved with leisure, tourism, hospitality and lifestyles a platform to get their name, promotions and events ‘Out There’ to an exclusive opt-in subscription of almost two million people – including nearly a quarter of a million in the North East.

“It’s very exciting to be at the centre of the launch because I’ve been involved from day one. As a business, we’ve listened to our clients to understand exactly what they want. As a result, we now have a superb product that I’m proud to have been involved in developing. We’re on the crest of a wave.”
