A Tees firm which has helped its clients win more than £2.5 billion by writing bids for them has been recognised with a top award.
Bid and Research Development, the Tees-based bidding and research consultancy, was handed the Service award at the Tees Valley Best New Business awards.
Business leaders from around the region attended the ceremony at Middlesbrough FC’s Riverside Stadium.
The annual event, organised by Colin Brown of Lighthouse Advisory Services alongside Tees Valley Unlimited, was created to recognise and celebrate successful new businesses, and the enormous part they play in bringing about economic growth to the region.
The Best New ‘Service’ Business Award recognises that technically excellent, innovative and growing new businesses are flourishing within the Tees Valley region.
Bid and Research Development is developing highly-efficient processes, which have assisted in helping to achieve market leading 94% bidding success rates for clients across a range of industry sectors from care to construction.
Managing director Tim Ward said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised with this award win.
“We are very proud of what we have accomplished in such a short period of time at Bid and Research Development, assisting our clients in winning in excess of £2.5 billion in the last two years alone, whilst also growing organically into a 6 strong team.
“Bid and Research Development are making great strides in the right direction. We now look forward to building on this success in the years to come.”
Richard Dowson, head of economic growth at Middlesbrough Council, added: “Middlesbrough Council has sponsored this award for several years and competition in this category is always very strong.
“Bid and Research Development stood out from the crowd with the excellent service they are providing to support the business community and are worthy winners.
“We wish them all the very best for the future as they continue to grow their business.”
