Mantank Environmental Services says it has invested £1m on a brand new service offering, creating 12 new jobs, and is predicting a £1m increase in turnover over the next year.
The Stockton-based company – which provides a wide range of high quality industrial cleaning solutions to both large and small companies in the chemical and petrochemical sectors – has now introduced a new drain, sewer and interceptor cleaning service to its offering.
The service, available for both existing and potential clients, facilitates the cleaning and removal of waste from drains, sewers, interceptors and lagoons.
Introduced as a new offering late last year, Mantank has already invested £1m in three new state-of-the-art Proteus ATEX 2 CCTV camera systems – suitable to work in demanding and explosive atmospheres – as well as two new Muller jet/vacuumation combination units, with a further two to be purchased in May of this year.
The company has also recruited 12 additional staff members with plans to further increase this to 20 by this time next year.
Steve Appleby, operations manager of Mantank’s drainage cleaning division, said: “We’ve secured 20 new contracts to date from customers both new and existing since it was introduced back in July, which has totally exceeded our initial expectations.
“As a demonstration of our commitment to providing the best possible service for our clients we have always heavily invested in new vehicles and machinery and this is part of that strategic plan.”
The company was originally established in Manchester in 1995, only opening a Stockton branch in March, 2013.
Since then the company has experienced phenomenal growth increasing its workforce from four to 40 in the two-and-a half years since its launch, and recently acquired its own offices on Portrack Lane, a move which the company says seals its commitment to the North East.
