TV firm’s work reaches 1.5 million people on social media
Award-winning TV and film production company 3 Point Media has seen a series of films it recently produced for national charity Traidcraft reach more than one-and-a-half million people.
The Show You Care campaign short movies were filmed by 3 Point Media in Swaziland during 2015 and released on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and You Tube.
The firm’s collaboration with Traidcraft began following the success of the Fair Necessities appeal which was launched with a film made in Bangladesh in late 2014.
The appeal film helped to raise over £615,000 – more than double its original target – which was then matched by the UK Government meaning over £1.2m went to good causes in total.
“We are so proud to have had the opportunity to work closely with Traidcraft,” said company director Michael Weadock.
“We travelled with them to Bangladesh and Swaziland as well as projects here in the UK, and it has been fantastic to see how their use of films to promote their work has helped achieve these fantastic results.”
3 Point Media was established in 2005 by Michael together with co-directors Dan Whaler and Xavier Davidson.
This year promises to be another exciting 12 months for the Darlington-based business, which has recently invested in new camera kit which will see them move from HD into 4K filming, and is currently upgrading two new edit suites for the new technology.
3 Point Media’s other customers include Bannatyne Fitness, NHS County Durham & Darlington, Newsmaker PR, BAE Systems, Cool Blue, National Citizen Service North East, Huntsman Pigments and Carnival Corporation PLC.
