Central Point development celebrates full occupancy

A thriving business centre in the heart of Middlesbrough has reached full occupancy – a year after it was developed.

Central Point Business Centre, on Linthorpe Road, has welcomed American-style dessert diner Creams Café, which serves a range of ice creams, milkshakes, waffles, cakes and crepes, to its premises, marking the milestone.

Linthorpe Developments, the company behind the development, has overseen the creation of a hub for small businesses, including accountancy firms and training providers, as well as a number of eateries.

The company is led by regeneration entrepreneur Geoff Hogg, who possesses more than 20 years’ experience in the property sector and has invested more than £20m across the North East in retail, office and residential schemes.

Central Point offers high specification office space ranging from 160 sq. ft. to 3,000 sq. ft. complete with high speed broadband up to 100MB and access to shared amenities including meeting and board rooms and kitchen areas, as well as a private underground car park.

Geoff Hogg, managing director of Linthorpe Developments, said: “We set about creating a development that was suitable for the small business community, with our affordable terms and access to various amenities, and the transformation of Central Point has helped drive investment and created jobs in this thriving part of Middlesbrough.

“The central location is ideal for both established and start-up businesses and I am delighted that the centre has reached full occupancy and is home to a number of local and national businesses, not to mention providing local people and visitors with some excellent dining options.”

Mr Hogg has also invested £1m in the development of the Cleveland Business Centre, on Watson Street, in Middlesbrough, and is planning on creating a similar hub for businesses, particularly those in the professional services sector.

He added: “There is plenty of positivity in Middlesbrough and the wider North East region and I am hoping that the Cleveland Business Centre can establish itself as another promising place to do business in the town. It has massive potential and, as with Central Point, possesses high specification office space and many benefits.”
