Signing an extended two-year deal to retain his company’s base in Boho Five was an easy decision for Tad Web Solutions managing director Ian Elcoate to make as the firm continues to win significant contracts.
Previously based in Redcar, Tab Web Solutions relocated to Boho Five in August 2015 to help the firm grow, win bigger clients and collaborate with others in the thriving Boho Zone.
The move worked a treat. They’ve recently taken on an apprentice as the web development agency builds on work carried out for the Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner, a recruitment agency and an offshoot of a multinational engineering firm.
Ian explains: “We were happy in Redcar but I realised that if we wanted to grow as a business and win more prestigious clients then we had to be where it was happening – which is the Boho Zone.
“The truth is that prospective clients who wouldn’t go to Redcar are happy to come to Middlesbrough. People treat us more seriously now and you can’t underestimate the impact of that.”
Ian says Tad Web can also now collaborate more closely with graphics team at Squegg, along with locally-based partners 90SecondStory and Boho Print.
But the moment that convinced Ian that Boho Five was the place for him was his first sight of the view from his office on the fourth floor.
“I can look out of the window from my desk and see the Transporter Bridge, which has to be Middlesbrough’s most iconic view,” he smiles.
“Turn my head a little and I can then see the Riverside Stadium, Cleveland Hills and Roseberry Topping. It’s like Teesside from a window.”
