Staff at a Middlesbrough-based branding and web development agency have celebrated the firm’s 14th birthday with a walk over a Teesside icon.
VIA Creative, headquartered in Cargo Fleet Offices, was established in 2003 by managing director Dave Ramrekha and has been delivering branding and bespoke web development solutions to a wide range of clients ever since.
VIA’s six-strong team includes among its key clients Hartlepool Borough Council, national charity Walsingham Support and thriving local firms Midas and UCS Technologies.
Ramrekha said: “We are one of the more established design agencies in Teesside and have serviced hundreds of clients ever since we set up, with many still using us since day one.
“While there’s a lot of positive start-up stories for digital agencies, we thought it would be good to let our staff understand that we have a long history of delivering effective creative solutions and we have seen how digital media has evolved since 2003 in helping clients shape their own companies.”
He added: “The walk over the Transporter Bridge was an off-the-cuff idea as I hadn’t been up there in quite a few years so I wanted to show our team the outstanding views of our region.
“Plus the whole visitor experience has been enhanced, with the disabled lift access and the walkway platform over the bridge being a lot less formidable than it was before!
“It’s an industrial icon on our own doorstep and I would recommend everyone should take the walk over it to get a whole new perspective of Teesside.”
