A national awards success for Tees firm Auto Executive has completed a road to success that began when owner Trevor Hill invested in a single car just a decade ago.

With 24 luxury Mercedes saloons and two people carriers, the Kirkleatham-based business now boasts the biggest executive fleet in the North-East, providing a corporate service to companies across Teesside and beyond.

And the firm has marked last year’s 10th anniversary with a Chauffer Company of the Year Silver Award at the professional driving industry’s leading UK awards.

Auto Executive were nominated by loyal customers for industry magazine Professional Driver’s prestigious QSI Awards, which give recognition to those excelling in quality, service and innovation.

“It was recognition for all the hard work by everyone at Auto Executive,” said director Hill, who began the business from his spare bedroom and with a Vauxhall Amiga parked outside in 2006 and now employs a team of 26.

“The judges said they were dazzled with our story, as we’ve built the business from scratch in a very tough economic climate.

“Our drivers have taken our clients to plenty of awards ceremonies over the years, so I was so happy for them to experience the thrill of success at such an event.”

Auto Executive pride themselves in offering a professional corporate service to an impressive list of blue chip clients including leading local, national and international companies.

Always immaculate in suit and tie, all of the firm’s chauffeurs are fully licensed private hire drivers, trained to advanced driver level, CRB-checked and are required to pass annual medicals.

“People often ask what makes us different from our competitors,” said Hill. “I always tell them to try us and make their mind up themselves.

“I think what makes us special is our ethics. We truly care about our customers and our impeccable service standards gives our corporate customers an outstanding reflection of their firm.
