Located on Durham Road, the new-look Horse and Jockey resumed serving locals and guests after it was refreshed as a Sizzling Pub and Grill.
After a significant investment was made at the pub, five new jobs have been created for the local area.
The Horse and Jockey reopened with a brand new look and feel, so guests can enjoy the it’s expansive menu in comfortable and welcoming surroundings.
General manager Donna Ham – pictured above (right) with Stockton Councillors Nigel Cooke and Norma Stephenson during the official relaunch – said: “When we were discussing the pub reopening, we decided we’d like to honour someone in the local community, someone who’s supported the area over the years and we found that in both Norma and Nigel.
“Norma and Nigel do great work in the Stockton community and really help support the people and businesses in the area.
“It was brilliant that we were able to let them cut the ribbon and pull the first pint!
“The pub has been given a fantastic new look, great products and an updated menu, incorporating pub favourites from the UK and around the world.”
Councillor Stephenson added: “This is a great pub offering tasty food along with a truly enjoyable atmosphere that locals will enjoy.
“Everyone there were so welcoming and we’re excited to see how they can help out the local community in the future.”
Following the refurbishment, the Horse and Jockey will continue to look to support the local community with a calendar of fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
