Odyssey Systems has ‘catered’ to the needs of Country Valley Foods after supporting its move to its Billingham facility.
The wholesale catering supplier has consolidated its entire operation from two sites in Billingham and Darlington to one, in Billingham, with the help of Odyssey Systems, which was engaged as a first-time client of Country Valley Foods.
Telecommunications firm Odyssey ensured the move went as smooth as possible, without the loss of service, retaining their separate telephone numbers and throughout the process, allowed multiple orders to be delivered via iPads, so night employees could handle the enquiries.
Country Valley Foods receives up to 500 receives per night and Odyssey has also implemented technology to enable the capture and transcription of the orders.
The challenging project included Odyssey providing and installing water-resistant, cordless handsets across the 36,000 sq. ft. site, and upgrading Country Valley Foods’ onsite telephony to a fully-hosted Mitel system. In addition, Odyssey installed high speed internet, utilising its long-distance microwave technology.
Country Valley Foods works with restaurants, hotels and food producers across the North of England to provide wholesale catering supplies.
