Tees tech pioneer teams up with former CTO for unique new ventures

One of the North East’s most successful tech entrepreneurs Rich Bendelow has teamed up with former chief technology officer (CTO) Matt Burton for a set of ground-breaking new ventures.

In his director level role, Matt was previously a major driver of the national success of Visualsoft, the Teesside company co-founded by Rich nearly 20 years ago and now employing more than 200 people across multiple offices.

Both men say they’ll be working on a range of entrepreneurial projects for themselves and other groups – but are being coy about what exactly it is they’ll be doing.

Matt explained: “Although we haven’t formally announced our ventures, we’ve already secured a number of contracts worth over £500,000.

“Businesses across the UK are getting in touch and asking for our help and expertise, as a result of our track record for delivery.”

Rich described Matt as “the most talented guy I’ve ever worked with. His ability to not only deliver but to challenge the business logic of largescale projects is genuinely second to none.”

He added: “Tech projects are like any other kind of major undertaking – keeping the timeframes and costs, as well as realistic expectations, under control requires special talent and Matt has that in abundance.”

Rich and Matt say they plan to formally announce the new ventures soon and expect more interest from customers across the UK.

Although their customers will be nationally spread, the pair remain committed to Teesside and Rich made that clear, saying: “Teesside is the best place in the world for us to live and work.”

The duo tell us they’ll be making more formal announcements over the coming weeks – so we look forward to visiting their office again for updates. Watch this space…
