The NEPIC board of directors has announced the resignation of Iain Wright as its chief executive officer Iain Wright.
The former Hartlepool MP joined the business in June 2017 following the retirement of long-standing CEO, Dr Stan Higgins OBE.
Mr Wright will depart NEPIC by early summer to take on a newly-created role within the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
“We thank him for his contribution – particularly in relation to strategy and budget planning for the coming period – and wish him well in his new venture,” said a NEPIC statement.
Chairman Ian Swales added: “I am sorry to see Iain go but can understand him accepting the approach from his professional association.
“Iain has set the course for the future and I fully expect NEPIC to go from strength to strength.”
NEPIC says its board will meet before the Easter break to discuss a smooth transition to a new leader, whilst “remaining focused and committed to its member organisations, partners and established team of staff”.
