A new warehousing deal has seen a massive 132,000 sq ft of warehousing space snapped up at Lingfield Point in Darlington.
The three-year agreement is one of the biggest lettings in the North East this year and brings a new tenant to the business park.
The tenant will use the unit for storage and joins the 3,000-plus people who already work at Lingfield Point.
Jonathan Simpson, of Connect Property North East, who negotiated the letting said: “The arrival of Premofab underlines the strength of Lingfield Point as a strategically positioned warehousing facility located midway between Teesside and Newton Aycliffe.
“The letting is the biggest of the year so far in Darlington and follows the 76,000 sq ft letting to Magnet completed at Lingfield Point recently.”
Eddie Humphries, estate manager at Lingfield Point, said: “This is a big deal both for us and for the warehousing and logistics industry in the North East.
“We love to welcome new tenants and invite them to become part of our business focussed environment – taking advantage of our 24-hour concierge and security service, CCTV and number plate recognition technology.
“At the same time they are welcome to use the facilities, such as our onsite café bistro and Little Lingfields child care nursery.”
