A leading digital software agency has appointed a new business development manager and a new director as it gears up for growth.
Helen Stewart, former head of business development for Middlesbrough-based Calm Digital, has been appointed as a new director to help develop new business relationships and support organic growth.
Since joining the Calm Digital team in March 2016, Helen has been focused on providing clients with cutting-edge digital solutions for their businesses.
Armed with 13 years of digital experience, Helen was perfectly suited for the role, having not only experienced the client side of the business, but also previously managing digital teams and client projects alike.
In her new position, she will take responsibility for expanding Calm Digital’s reach nationally, internationally and globally.
Helen said: “Calm are highly-specialised in our sector and the team’s ability and expertise is second to none.
“My aim is to motivate growth and ensure we have the strategy in place to make it successful.
“It’s a very exciting time and I’m privileged that I’m involved at Director level at this stage of the journey.
“There’s a huge opportunity to continue to develop our portfolio of clients, projects and software products.”
Calm director Danielle Croce said: “We’re confident that Helen will continue to increase Calm Digital’s reach, providing projects further afield to potential clients in need of completely tailored solutions.”
Calm Digital has also recently welcomed Carl Thom as business development manager, joining the firm from his previous role as business advisor at Northern Skills Group.
His appointment marks the start of a number of imminent new recruitments, with Calm also planning to bring in another senior developer, a project manager and a web designer.

Based at Boho One in Middlesbrough, Calm Digital has a team of 14 which specialises in the design, build, and support of web and software applications.
Working with a number of global clients over the past few years, Calm has developed digital solutions for global brands such as The World Health Organization, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Lindt Chocolate and SES Networks.
