A financial planning firm in Stockton is celebrating a flurry of exceptional examination results amongst its team.

Vintage, Chartered Financial Planners, based in Preston Farm, Stockton, received news of five individual examination passes amongst four members as the results were published last week.

The firm of 18, soon to celebrate its 30th year in business, notched up the passes in different disciplines in the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute industry qualifications.

The results mean that the firm’s head of analysis and compliance, Lisa Tipton, who passed the CII AF7 Pension Transfer paper, goes on to be the second member of the team to reach Fellowship status after partner Steven Hodgson, the highest possible accolade from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Lisa is also celebrating after receiving news of her nomination for the Women in Investment awards earlier in the week in the category of change excellence.

Helen Weatherhead also did well, passing not one, but two exams, both CII JO2 Trusts and CII AF1 Personal Trust and Tax Planning and Anthony Long passed the CII AF4 Investment Planning paper, taking both Financial Planners very close to their individual Chartered status.

Financial planner Simon Warne passed CII AF3 Pension Planning with flying colours and obtained an outstanding mark.

Trainee analysts Heather Camsell-Graham and Michael Duffield also passed exams earlier in the month.

Heather passing her first industry exam, CII RO1 Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics and Michael passing CII RO2 Investment Principles and Risk.

Managing partner Sam Tate said: “We’re so incredibly proud of our team, to have so many passes at once is unprecedented.

“We’ve always invested heavily in professional development as we believe that it not only benefits us and our employees but also enhances and improves the service that our clients receive.”

The Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications are a measure of quality within the financial planning profession with financial advisers requiring a Diploma from the Institute to be deemed competent.

Those who aspire beyond this work towards individual Chartered status and very few go on to study towards Fellowship status.

Vintage provide financial advice to individuals and business in areas such as financial planning, retirement, investments, trusts, mortgages and insurance.
