A leading Tees-based roof insulation company has exceeded its growth plans and doubled its workload in the past 18 months thanks to several prestigious project wins.
TaperedPlus, the only premium independent tapered insulation provider in the UK, has designed and supplied projects at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Coronation Street studios and The Strand, London, as well as taking its services overseas to Abu Dhabi.
Director Aman Chahal said: “This is a very exciting time at TaperedPlus, and these latest contract wins only reinforce our credibility as a quality designer and supplier of tapered insulation and will encourage growth to help us achieve our aims.
“We saw growth of over 58% in 2017, with 2018 set to grow by an additional 30%, which is testament to the team and our reputation as a leading supplier.”
As a result of increasing customer demand, the company has appointed Donna Wilson, founder of Logistics Teesside and a previous winner of The Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship, as commercial manager.
Aman added: “Bringing Donna into the business is a big step forward for us due to her vast experience.
“She will enable us to move to the next level of growth and give us support to develop our team, meaning the volume and quality of projects we can handle will continually increase.”
TaperedPlus, which has offices in Stockton and Wolverhampton, also welcomed Emma Frater as purchasing manager, bringing the total number of employees to 10.
The business plans to make a six-figure investment to drive growth further by creating four roles before the end of 2018 and purchasing larger premises to accommodate its expanding team. It also aims to target more international markets including North America, France and Canada.
