A prestigious Tees housing developer is the latest company to support the first-ever Tees Businesswomen Awards.
Tees Business will host the Tees Businesswomen Awards – in association with Northern Skills Group, the apprenticeship and training arm of Middlesbrough College – at Wynyard Hall on November 8 this year.
And Developments by Joseph Homes, a subsidiary of Wynyard Park, is sponsoring the ‘Breaking the Mould’ category for the inaugural event.
Developments by Joseph Homes is a new company, set up to specialise in high-end self-build developments at Wynyard Park.
It recently opened a new £1.2m show house for prospective buyers to look around and learn more about their designs
Developments by Joseph Homes follows Teesside University (Businesswoman of the Year), Cornerstone Business Solutions (Business of the Year), RMS Recruitment (Best Newcomer), Punch Robson Solicitors (SME of the Year), SABIC (Inspiring Others), Venator (Charity/Voluntary), PX Group (Training & Apprenticeships), Tees Valley Business Compass (Lifelong Inspiration) and the Tees Valley Combined Authority (Best New Business) who have already shown their support.
Matt Johnson, development director at Wynyard Park, said: “We’re very proud to be one of the sponsors for the very-first Tees Businesswomen Awards.
“Women’s role in business has been quite understated. There have been a lot of misconceptions from previous generations and I think women are now coming to the forefront in business, so the awards are a great way to showcase women in business in the Tees Valley.
“We think it’s important to showcase, acknowledge and reward the key role women play in our business community.”
The Tees Businesswomen Awards will celebrate women in business in the Tees region, inspiring a new generation of females to succeed in business, creating more female entrepreneurs and business leaders than ever before.
Tees Business co-editor Dave Allan – pictured above, left, with Matt Johnson – added: “We’re delighted that Developments by Joseph Homes is backing the first-ever business awards event for women in the Tees Valley.
“They, like us, recognise that many of our leading businesswomen in the region have gone under the radar for whatever reason and it’s now time for us to shine a light on them, create role models and inspire younger females to succeed in business.”
Ten awards will be dished out at the first Tees Businesswomen Awards ceremony on November 8, including Businesswoman of the Year, Company of the Year, Lifelong Inspiration Award, Breaking the Mould Award, Inspiring Others Award, Best Newcomer and SME of the Year.
Tees Business is now inviting people to enter for the award categories via the website at teesbusiness.co.uk/awards
