A hotel restaurant has enlisted one of the region’s most respected restaurant managers to help steer it into the future.
Liam Fishburn is now heading up a new team at The Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield.
His appointment comes as hotel owner Ramside Estates looks to raise the profile of the restaurant, which offers a selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes along with its famous house speciality steaks.
Liam, who was born and raised in the region and attended Houghton Kepier School, has worked as restaurant manager at some of the North East’s finest eateries, such as Six@The Baltic, Wynyard Hall and The Biscuit Factory.
He joins the fold from the post of assistant manager at Rockliffe Hall and will head up a new team which will work to raise the profile of The Rib Room.
“I’ve always loved working in the restaurant industry and now to be here at Hardwick Hall as restaurant manager is great,” he said.
“I’m coming in armed with 15 years of experience in the industry and I believe I can really make a difference at The Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill.
“I love it here and I’m working with a fantastic team of people who all have the same objective, to work hard and help put the restaurant on the map.”
John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates, added: “It’s a very exciting time for us with a brand new, handpicked team who I believe can really help propel The Rib Room forward.
“Liam comes to us with a lot of valuable industry experience and is quickly becoming a well-liked and respected member of the team.
“I look forward to seeing what he can do in taking The Rib Room forward over the next few months.”
The Rib Room Steakhouse & Grill is open for dinner daily from 6-10pm and has regular offers and deals including Monday and Sunday steak deals, Thursday surf and turf specials and a free glass of Champagne for all ladies ordering a starter and main course on a Friday night.
