The most famous man in red, Santa Claus, has welcomed the reds of Middlesbrough FC back to the town’s largest shopping centre in time for the Christmas rush.
Cleveland Centre’s famous ‘Signing Santa’ broke off from Christmas preparations at his grotto to call in to see staff at Boro’s pop-up stall.
Packed full of Boro stocking fillers, the stall is already attracted dozens of those getting in the Christmas shopping for fans of Tony Pulis’s Championship promotion-chasers.
Situated on Wesley Mall, close to Boots and the Disney Store, the Boro stall includes MFC calendars, annuals, replica shirts, festive jumpers, mugs, Santa hats, toys, scarves and gloves plus a range of matchday accessories.
The stall is open this Saturday and Sunday (December 15-16) and then every day through to Christmas from Thursday December 20.
Cleveland Centre manager Graeme Skillen said: “I’m delighted that our strong relationship with Middlesbrough FC means that, yet again, they’ve chosen Cleveland Centre to place their pop-up shop.”
MFC retail manager Jo-ann Swinnerton added: “Partnering up with our friends at the Cleveland Centre is all about the club bringing Christmas to the fans, making us even more accessible to the festive shoppers.”
