Rockliffe Hall has welcomed three new apprentices to its team.
The five-star resort in Hurworth, near Darlington, was inundated with applications for the marketing, IT and beauty therapist apprenticeships.
Stephen Flintoft, 20, from Darlington, has joined Rockliffe Hall as digital marketing and social media apprentice. He went to St Aidan’s Church of England Academy and then studied Fine Art and Software Development at Darlington College.
Stephen (pictured above, left) said: “It’s a brilliant opportunity in a competitive job environment and I’m really enjoying it so far. There’s so much to learn and every day is different.”
Grace Nash, 17, from Richmond, has joined the Spa Team as a Beauty Therapy apprentice. She attended SFX and then Darlington College to study Beauty Therapy and is currently working towards her Level 3.
Grace says: “I love Rockliffe Hall, it’s a beautiful environment to work in and I enjoy the interaction with clients and making them happy. I hope to continue working here after my apprenticeship.”
Andrew Jennison, 19, from Bishop Auckland, is the resort’s IT apprentice. He studied IT and Photography A Level at King James Academy.
Rockliffe’s HR manager Angela Doran said: “It is very important for us to invest in the next generation, our future successors.
“Hospitality is such a diverse industry with such a vast array of fulfilling career opportunities.
“When we decide on an apprenticeship opportunity we have a great wealth of interest in positions. Stephen, Andrew and Grace stood out during the selection process and we hope they make the most out of the opportunity and time with us here at the resort.”
