Stockton-based Cornerstone Business Solutions are one of several Tees firms to back the Tees Businesswomen Awards for a second year.
The commercial IT specialists are again sponsoring the Company of the Year award after backing the same category in 2018.
The Tees Businesswomen Awards, in association with Northern Skills Group, will return to Wynyard Hall on October 24 after its successful inaugural event last November.
Cornerstone managing director Chris Petty – pictured (above, right) with Tees Business co-editor Dave Allan – said: “Last year’s inaugural awards were awesome – so it was an easy decision when we were asked if we’d like to be involved again.
“An increasing number of businesses are being driven by women and we’re looking forward to judging the Company of the Year category again this year to find a worthy successor to 2018 winners J&B Recycling.
“I do think it’s important to tell the next generation that they can achieve anything they want to achieve and they shouldn’t allow society to pigeonhole them into a particular job, skill or industry because of their sex.
“And I was impressed by the amazing range of businesses and skills represented at the 2018 awards – everything from chemical engineers to undertakers, from estate agents to piemakers!
“They were proof that the world is your oyster if you get out there and go for it.”
As well as headline sponsors Northern Skills Group, the Tees Businesswomen Awards 2019 have been sponsored by Teesside University, Developments by Joseph Homes, SABIC, RMS Recruitment, Punch Robson Solicitors, px Group, Tees Valley Combined Authority and Billions Europe.
