A leading property consultancy has appointed Karen Eve as regional centre manager.

The move follows a deal last month which saw Stockton Council purchase Wellington Square and appoint Knight Frank LLP as managing agents.

Eve, currently manager of 350,000sq ft. Castlegate Shopping Centre which includes the 8,000sq ft. Castlegate Business Centre and a multi-story car park, has also taken on the role of managing 220,000sq ft. Wellington Square as regional centre manager.

The position has the responsibility for the effective management of business and retail and includes commercialisation, skills training and employee development, procurement and management of contracts, research, marketing, financial management, and the retention and attraction of new business and retail tenants.

“It’s very much business as usual,” she said.

“With extensive expertise in this sector I will continue to run the Castlegate Centre while also managing Wellington Square.

“This is an exciting time for Stockton, particularly for tenants and customers of Wellington Square who can look forward to an improving trader and visitor experience.”

Eve, who has worked for Knight Frank for eight years, also holds a number of senior voluntary roles including ambassador of Federation for Women in Enterprise (FWE), patron of Teesside Philanthropic Foundation and a director of Stockton Improvement District, (BID) whose purpose it is to contribute towards creating a future vision and strategy for Levy payer regeneration and growth of Stockton High Street.
