Award-winning clinic Queensway Dental is set to open a state-of-the-art dental implant suite at its Billingham site following a £500,000 investment.

Queensway Dental, which has sites in Billingham, Jesmond, Darlington and Ferryhill, will unveil the new facility to the public on September 7, and is expected to create an additional 10 jobs in the area.

The recent expansion of the premises has seen the firm take on two new leases for 11 years and an extra 2,300 sq ft alongside renewing their existing agreements to 2030.

The additional space, which was formerly the Post Office, further confirms Queensway’s investment to Billingham town centre and is expected to attract an additional 10,000 people a year into the town to undergo dental work.

Purpose-built for more complex patient management, the new ground floor facility will house four stages spaces for three dentists and a hygienist to provide patients with full oral health assessments alongside their treatment.

Room for patient consultation away from the surgery and private consultation with the clinic’s treatment coordinator Jade Hand will also be available.

Alongside offering more space for both staff and patients, the new space features multiple screens in each surgery as well as dedicated access for staff training with the latest state-of -the-art 3D digital scanning and imaging available.

Queensway Dental’s Billingham site has now also become the only firm in the UK with two 3D dental CT scanner machines in one building.

The 3D imaging allows Queensway Dental to assess a patient’s teeth and jaws with greater accuracy to deliver new implant supported smiles.

Dr Ian Lane, partner at Queensway Dental, said: “We needed a new and updated spacious area to carry out more complex and advanced implant consultations and surgery and I’m very proud of the new space that we have created in Billingham.

“The patient space and working environment are at the highest standards for a dental clinic and it has allowed us to increase our capacity to look after some of the most complex dental cases along with our well qualified team and highly skilled technicians who are right next door.

“Ultimately we want to offer our patients a relaxed environment with excellent clinical facilities. We are now utilising the most impressive technology more than ever before, allowing us to communicate the best way forward for advanced dental case management.”

Queensway Dental is celebrating its 25th year in Billingham town centre this year and was also awarded the Best Medium Company in the Journal’s Best Places to Work Awards 2019. For more information on Queensway Dental, visit
