Wynyard Hall invests £90,000 in new Marquee facilities

Wynyard Hall has invested almost £90,000 in new facilities at its stunning marquee – as preparations for the second Tees Businesswomen of the Year event get into full swing.

The Tees Business team met again with Wynyard’s events manager Katie Hall – pictured above (centre) with Julie Burniston and Carole Sanderson – to agree plans for the glamorous event, to be held there on Thursday, October 24.

After the success of the inaugural event last year, organisers have had to move the event into Wynyard’s marquee to accommodate demand for tickets.

It comes after bosses at Wynyard agreed to invest nearly £90,000 in facilities within the marquee, including a new horseshoe-shaped bar to accommodate more fridges, tills and staff, in order to improve “guest experience”.

Ingrid Brough-Williams, head of sales and marketing at Wynyard Hall, said: “The new bar is a horseshoe shape that covers both the reception area and the main body of the main marquee.

“This enables us to provide more staff behind the bar when there is a busy event for 450+ guests, and it also gives our guests a better service and experience, which is at the heart of everything we do.

“The bar itself it a beautiful, light, marble effect, which creates the impression of more space and is very much in fitting with the marquee’s luxury interior decor.”

Wynyard Hall hosts dozens of corporate events and weddings in the Grand Marquee every year.

Set in the exquisite gardens, with panoramic views across the estate, it is a blank canvas that can be sectioned to cater for smaller events of 150+ up to 600 guests for a dinner dance or 1,000+ for an exhibition or conference.

It has become a hugely popular venue for a host of Tees Valley business events, while the Teesside Philanthropic Foundation’s hugely popular annual ball is held there every year.

The Tees Businesswomen Awards event will celebrate the Tees region’s brilliant businesswomen and the organisations they lead, whilst also inspiring future generations.

Almost 100 entries have been received this year, and each category sponsor now has the difficult task of shortlisting each category to three, with only one winner.

Tickets include a prosecco reception, three-course meal including table wine, VIP pictures, inspirational speakers, music and seats for the presentation of the awards.

A table of 10 is priced £750 (+vat) for the glamorous event, with single tickets available at £75 (+vat) each.
