More than 400 people are set to attend the second Tees Businesswomen of the Year awards event later this month – and tickets are still available.
After the successful inaugural event held last year, with 285 people in attendance, organisers Resolution Media & Publishing – the team behind Tees Business – decided to extend this year’s awards ceremony into the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall.
And after the shortlists for the 10 awards in this year’s competition were revealed last week, a flurry of tables and tickets have been snapped up for the event on Thursday, October 24.
The deadline to buy tickets is 5pm on Friday October 11 – they cost £75 (+ vat) and include a prosecco reception, 4-course meal, table wine, VIP pictures and seats for the presentation.
Resolution director Martin Walker said: “We’re overwhelmed by another hugely positive response to this awards event.
“The entry and shortlisting process has produced another impressive list of candidates for the 10 different candidates, with strong competition in all categories.
“It promises to be an entertaining and hopefully inspirational evening for everyone in attendance.”
The category sponsors acted as judges to choose shortlists of three for the 10 categories of the awards, which are being held in association with Northern Skills Group, the training and apprenticeship arm of Middlesbrough College.
Keynote speaker at the awards event is Yasmin Khan of the Halo Project, with fundraising also taking place for the Teesside-based charity, while there will also be songs from Middlesbrough-born singer Amelia Coburn.
