The first phase of a brand new office space development in the heart of Middlesbrough is open for business.
Construction work to complete phase one of Centre Square will be complete this autumn and the development is all set to open its doors to tenants.
The facility was designed to bring Grade A offices to the centre of town offering businesses an unrivalled opportunity to base themselves in the heart of Middlesbrough’s vibrant core.
The central location offers easy access to city scale amenities and is close to the shopping and leisure core of the town as well as transport and travel links.
But there’s much more to it than that. The two buildings which form the main focus of the development offer highly desirable workspaces designed to attract and retain high calibre employees, enhance productivity and allow for easy expansion.
Flexible office space planning is part of the deal and super fast broadband capacity is readily available meaning instant and easy access when it comes to getting companies up, running and in touch efficiently.
The first phase of the development is made up of two buildings. Building 1 is due to complete this autumn but the hoardings around Building 2 have already been removed.
Middlesbrough Council will now turn its focus to filling the spaces.
The town’s mayor Andy Preston and senior council leaders have been working closely with commercial agents and the property developer, Ashall Projects, to showcase the buildings to potential tenants.
The team behind the Centre Square project includes Middlesbrough Council, Tees Valley Combined Authority, Middlesbrough College and Teesside University. It has already confirmed its commitment to work with investors and tenants to ensure a smooth transition into the development.
For the educational establishments, the prospect of tailoring educational courses to meet the needs of major businesses in the area has also been raised in a bid to ensure the local workforce is well equipped with the necessary skills and qualifications.
From September the opportunity to take over all or part of the first two Centre Square buildings will be available to interested companies and businesses.
