Middlesbrough FC have opened a pop-up stall in the town’s largest shopping centre, Cleveland Centre, in time for the Christmas rush.
The pop-up is open every day throughout November and December and will participate in the late-night Thursday shopping and Sunday openings through to Christmas.
Situated alongside Boots on Cleveland Centre’s Wesley Mall, the stall features Boro shirts, calendars, footballs, autograph books, annuals and even Christmas jumpers.
This is the third year the football club has partnered with the Cleveland Centre, with the pop-up unit designed to make the club more accessible for those looking for Christmas gift ideas for the Boro fans in their life.
Jo-Ann Swinnerton, Middlesbrough FC’s head of retail, said: “Our pop-up stall is always a welcome addition for supporters. We recognise that not all supporters can make it to the stadium and this provides an excellent opportunity to snap up those Christmas gifts whilst shopping in the Cleveland Centre.”
Cleveland Centre manager Graeme Skillen said: “We have a close working relationship with Middlesbrough FC and it’s naturally a great coup for us to again attract the club’s only pop-up store to our centre.
“The pop-up has been a big hit every year and we expect it to be equally popular this year during the countdown to Christmas.”
• Boro will be holding a signing session at the pop-up store this Thursday (November 21) 4-5pm involving first team players Britt Assombalonga, Darren Randolph, George Saville, Marcus Tavernier, Rudy Gestede and Nathan Wood.
