The region’s leading digital firms are set to do battle when entries open on Monday for the inaugural Tees Tech Awards – with one category sponsorship opportunity still available.
Organised by Tees Business in association with headline sponsors DigitalCity and Digital Middlesbrough, the first Tees Tech Awards will be held on the night of Thursday, April 23, at Wynyard Hall.
The awards will recognise and celebrate the organisations and individuals thriving within the Tees Valley’s fast-growing digital sector together with the local companies driving their business through digital transformation.
Entries will be open from Monday, January 20, via the Tees Business website for digital and tech businesses based in the Tees region.
Category sponsors are now being sought for the Tech for Good category – open to those using digital for charity work or changing the world for the better. Sponsorship is £3,000 + vat.
Category sponsorships have already been snapped up by Punch Robson Solicitors, Jacksons Law Firm, Communicate Technology, Middlesbrough College, Recognition PR, Tracerco, Baldwins Group, Davies Tracey and Cornerstone Business Solutions.
Awards will be presented for the Company of the Year, Best Small Business, Innovation Award, Tees Tech Partnership, Digital Transformation, Exporter of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Tech for Good Award, together with individual prizes for Business Leader of the Year, Tees Tech Ambassador and Tees Tech Rising Star.
The winner of each category will be chosen via a voting system between five of the sponsors, with each winner remaining unknown to even the category sponsor until the moment they open the envelope on stage.
Dave Allan, director of Tees Business owners Resolution Media and Publishing, said: “The Tees region has so many awesome digital businesses of all sizes, working across a wide range of services and sectors.
“We’re confident the standard of entries will be incredibly high – and are working to ensure the event is every bit as successful as our established Tees Businesswomen Awards.
“We’re grateful to all our sponsors for their enthusiasm and support – and look forward to receiving entries from the region’s digital leaders.”
Benefits of category sponsorship include a table of 10, prosecco reception, opportunity to help judge category entries and present the award to the category winner, make a short speech at the awards event, a full page advert in the awards programme, event branding, opportunity to display a pop-up stand at the event, a minimum 10 social media mentions, advance publicity on the Tees Business website and in the quarterly magazine and post-event publicity in Tees Business.
