Darlington-based Red Button Marketing is celebrating following the news that its strategic marketing workshops have been CPD accredited.
Accredited CPD training means the learning activity has reached the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards and benchmarks. The learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality.
Delegates who are working towards a professional qualification or keeping a certification valid can now claim CPD points for attending a strategic marketing workshop with Red Button Marketing. Individuals are able to keep up to date with the latest learning on the understanding that the teaching is of a specified standard.
Margaret Bradshaw, owner of Red Button Marketing, developed the workshops in 2019 using a unique methodology for marketing strategy that she innovated when she started the business three years ago.
Margaret identified an opportunity to empower business owners to create a coordinated and well-structured marketing strategy.
Last year Margaret delivered workshops to a range of businesses which gave her the opportunity to fine tune and enhance the offering.
The purpose was to give a solid framework that a business could use at the starting point of their marketing journey, and as a continuous platform for measuring and tracking results.
To add further weight to the workshops, create added value for delegates and open them up to a wider marketplace, Margaret sought to gain CPD accreditation for her unique events.
She began the journey of gaining CPD accreditation last summer and underwent a rigorous assessment procedure.
Margaret says: “I’m absolutely thrilled that my workshop has been awarded CPD accreditation. It’s been an exciting few years – setting up the business, developing the workshop and launching an app to support small businesses in their marketing.
“The workshop utilises the methodology within the app and we felt it was such a powerful support tool for businesses that we needed to be able to deliver that in a face to face setting.
“As part of the offering we can work with business owners after the workshop to help them remain on track with marketing that generates results.
“To be successful I had to demonstrate that my workshop offers new learning and is unique and I’m very proud to have proved that.

CPD combines different methodologies to learning, such as training workshops like Margaret’s, conferences, events and e-learning, all focused for an individual to improve and have effective professional development. CPD courses ensure that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated or obsolete, allowing individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves, regardless of occupation, age or education level.
The strategic marketing training workshop is a 2 ½ hour event which credits delegates with 2.5 CPD points upon completion.
