Tees Tech Award sponsors Communicate Technology PLC believe the event can help local digital businesses raise their profile within the Tees region – and beyond.

Wynyard-based Communicate Technology is sponsoring the Tees Tech Partnership category at the inaugural awards, which take place at Wynyard Hall’s Grand Marquee on the night of April 23.

Communicate Technology, is a specialist IT, telecoms and cyber security company providing a wide portfolio of services to clients within the UK and Europe.

Explaining why they decided to sponsor the awards, Communicate Technology’s CEO Tony Snaith said: “The tech industry in Teesside is thriving. However we don’t shout about that success enough and when we heard about the Tees Tech Awards, we couldn’t believe that no one had thought about it before.

“It’s great that Tees Business has recognised this gap. For us, supporting the awards is a no-brainer to help highlight the business successes in our region and help their voices get heard more, inside and outside of Teesside.

“People need to be more digitally aware these days. Sure, Teesside is infamous for its history in iron, engineering and construction of some of the world’s most iconic structures and spans but we are innovative people and to continue being world leaders we need to start to think more digitally. In doing so, we can help the likes of manufacturing and engineering companies gain the competitive edge over the traditional.”

He added: “We felt sponsoring the collaborative Tees Tech Partnership award would really support and highlight this invaluable look to the future. We’re really excited and interested to read about companies that are working together in new ways to succeed in their industries.”

The Tees Tech Partnership award may recognise two or more organisations, though at least one must be Tees Valley-based. We want to hear a story of at least two organisations working in partnership to develop a digital product, service or innovation that could never have happened without true collaboration.

Deadline for entries to the Tees Tech Awards is Monday March 9. There are 10 different categories.
