The spring issue of Tees Life – Teesside’s only quarterly lifestyle magazine – is now online, focusing on Crafter’s Companion founder and Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies as the front cover feature.
The sister publication of Tees Business, you can read Tees Life online here.
In an honest and witty interview with Tees Life editor Julie Burniston, Sara reveals that she would never leave the area.
“This is my home,” she says. “The majority of our staff are based here and creating jobs for people in the region is something I’m so proud of.”
Sara also speaks of the way becoming a mother has changed her business for the better.
“I can support mothers in the workplace because I’ve been there myself,” she reflects. “In fact, I think it’s given us a competitive edge. We attract really high calibre women.”
Sara also pays tribute to her own mam, Susan, in an issue which leans heavily on the upcoming Mothering Sunday celebrations.
From gift guides to afternoon teas at local eateries and a side-splitting account of Mother’s Day as a young boy courtesy of columnist Harry Pearson, it’s a real celebration of Teesside’s strong and special ladies.
There’s also our regular what’s on guide, car and restaurant reviews, as well as an interview with Middlesbrough-born magician and TV star Peter Firman.
