Any new relationship gives you butterflies, but you always know when you’ve found The Real Thing. That’s why Solutions Recruitment is proud to be partnering with the High Tide Foundation to provide recruitment support to the charity, as well as advice to Tees Valley students.
Matthew Telling and his Middlesbrough-based team have been working closely with High Tide’s chairman Mark Easby and general manager Lauren Bywater to find the foundation a perfect programme coordinator, showcasing the role, shortlisting candidates and holding interviews.
“Mark, Lauren and the team of trustees at High Tide are wonderful people who lead with genuine passion, warmth and energy,” said Matthew.
“They deliver genuinely life-changing experiences, in many cases, to children across the Tees Valley.
“As a business, our local community is so important to us, and we want to make as much of a positive contribution to it as possible.
“This is why we’re delighted to be able to dedicate our time and resources to the foundation, and hopefully play an integral part in the continued success of High Tide for many years to come.”
Solutions Recruitment will be delivering practical sessions as part of the foundation’s Experience Works and Cadetship programmes.
All interactive, the sessions will equip students with the tools and confidence they need for those lesser-known parts of entering the world of work, from CV writing to developing interview skills.
High Tide is an independent charitable foundation, funded and supported by businesses in the Tees Valley to deliver life-changing career experiences for young people aged 11 to 19, opening their minds to the area’s diverse career opportunities and providing real-life experiences to increase understanding, improve skills, raise confidence and build aspirations.
Mark Easby, who was appointed as charity chairman in 2019 after being a trustee for four years, welcomes the link with Solutions.
“High Tide is all about showing young people just what the Tees Valley has to offer, with so many incredible businesses on our doorstep,” he said.
“While we give the young people on our programmes the chance to experience just what the world of work is like, we’re looking forward to Solutions bridging that gap to help them actually secure the roles they want.”
