The Tees Region’s 30 Most Inspiring Businesspeople 2020 is revealed in full in the bounceback summer issue of Tees Business – available to read online now ahead of the print version’s launch.

Following the three-month lockdown since the previous issue of Tees Business, the region’s businesses reflect on the challenge of Covid throughout the historic 96-page issue that will be distributed across the region’s business community over the next two weeks.

PD Ports managing director Frans Calje (pictured) is the subject of the front cover feature – and the Dutchman-turned-adopted-Teessider finishes fourth in the results of the annual vote among Tees business leaders to reveal the Most Inspiring of their counterparts.

Two of the top 10 weren’t even in the top 30 last year, while nine of the top 20 are women.

Also featured in this issue are the complete category shortlists for the inaugural Tees Tech Awards, while there’s all the positive business news amid the Covid challenge.

Executive editor Martin Walker said: “The Tees Business team worked their socks off to complete our bounceback issue and give the region a much-needed injection of positivity.

“We completed the magazine while moving premises so it was a real challenge but we’re as proud as punch to have produced a super high-quality publication featuring so many of the Tees region’s amazing businesses.”

Dave Allan, Martin’s business partner, added: “For obvious reasons, this is the first issue of Tees Business in five years that’s smaller than the previous issue – but we won’t let Covid beat us.

“The results of the Most Inspiring poll has become a real talking point on social media this week and made it a special week on the back of us revealing the Tech Awards shortlists.”
