Middlesbrough-based Animmersion has secured a contract with Invertek Drives, one of the leading innovators and manufacturers of variable frequency drives, to create immersive meeting spaces for global events cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.
Invertek, which is based at Welshpool, Powys, designs and manufactures Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) used to control electric motors in a wide range of commercial, industrial and energy-saving applications. The business exports over 90% of its products to more than 80 countries worldwide.
After the cancellation of physical events and exhibitions throughout the world, there is a requirement to provide an alternative way to connect with clients and showcase technology.
The development of Animmersion’s Virtual Interactive Event (VIE) service has been fast-tracked to overcome public health challenges and provide a new way for businesses to promote their products through virtual exhibition spaces and showrooms.
Utilising Animmersion’s proven technologies including online interactive maps and product explorers will allow Invertek to promote its business and products to multiple clients in any location. The company can deliver a comprehensive virtual event and remote presentation service tailored to individual client needs.
The service provides the opportunity to host live presentations and demonstrate products and services to multiple delegates who can interact in the space via a range of display solutions from desktop interaction to Virtual or Augmented Reality.
Through the integration of existing digital assets, such as 3D CAD data digitised brochures and video content, Animmersion can help companies provide an engaging and informative experience for their customers without the necessity to travel to meetings or exhibitions while ensuring a worthwhile interaction with the business and its products.
Nigel Evans, marketing manager at Invertek Drives, said: ‘The current pandemic has led to Invertek cancelling all our trade show activity this year so we were looking for an alternative platform in which to showcase our products, and the proposal from Animmersion ticked all the boxes! Invertek are extremely excited to be working with Animmersion on this innovative project.”
Animmersion managing director Samuel Harrison said: “The pandemic has forced many exhibition postponements and cancellations throughout the world, meaning that there is an urgent requirement for the provision of an alternative solution.
“Our VIE platform provides clients with the opportunity to promote their products and services interactively as if they were in an event environment, but all from a home setting.
“We are excited to be working with Invertek Drives Ltd, and we are committed to help drive forward their growth plans and investment in innovation.”
