Tees firm Communicate Technology PLC has been selected as a finalist in the Innovative Product of the Year – Threat Detection in the 2020 Cyber Security Awards.

The Cyber Security Awards were established in 2014 to reward the sector best individuals, teams and companies. Excellence and innovation are core themes, throughout all categories. The Cyber Security Awards team reviews the industry, looking for the best possible applicants.

Organisations and people from all over the world are eligible to submit applications including public and private, for-profit and non-profit, largest to smallest and new start-ups.

“Being shortlisted for the second year in a row is a fantastic achievement for our team,” said Communicate’s CEO Tony Snaith. “It is testament that we provide the best effective cyber security solutions to our clients.”

Communicate’s seamless process has reduced response times by over 200% to under 10 minutes. The solution has been further developed to be cloud-based, rather than a traditional hardware-based solution, saving investment in capital equipment.

Tony explained: “The all-in-one appliance or cloud product comes with an option for zero upfront cost, therefore enabling businesses of any size to procure our solution.”

Director David Johnson added: “We are proud to be able to monitor and protect critical national infrastructure organisations including one based in the North-East, insurance firms with over two million customers and even an award-winning gin distillery.

“In 2020, we introduced our solution to all our managed business parks, offering an affordable monitoring and protection solution to clients of all sizes.

“As a boutique cyber security company, we strive to give clients the best technology and support to enable them to achieve real improvements in cyber security.”

The 2020 awards will be announced via a virtual event on September 10, hosted by cyber executive and comedian Dom Vogel.
