For the love of Louise

Much respected local photographer Doug Moody – a valued member of the Tees Business editorial team since its inception and a familiar friendly face at regional events – hopes local businesses will support his fundraising in memory of daughter Louise ‘Smoggie’ Moody, who passed away suddenly on February 4, aged just 39.

Louise, who was born in Guisborough and lived in Corbridge near Newcastle, worked in a nursing home and was dearly loved by her friends, colleagues, step mum Ira, little sister Faith, brother Neil, his partner Tanya and their children, Adele and Connie.

Monies raised from Doug’s collection will be divided between The Charlotte Straker Project which provides residential nursing and respite care to the elderly of Northumberland, Teesside Philanthropic Foundation and the MFC Foundation – the latter to mark Louise’s lifelong devotion to the club.

Martin Walker, director of Tees Business owners Resolution Media and Publishing, said: “We’re proud to support Doug’s charity fundraising in memory of Louise and hope other local businesses and business leaders who know Doug will show similar support for Doug and local charities.”

The page will close on March 28 – on what would have been Louise’s 40th birthday.
