Tickets are now available for the second annual Tees Tech Awards, being held at Hardwick Hall on July 1, after more than 110 entries flooded in.
The awards are being organised by Tees Business in association with Middlesbrough Digital and DigitalCity, supported by a number of major local businesses.
The latest to sign up as category sponsors are Teesside University and Boho Zero owners Python Properties, who join forces with Middlesbrough College, Punch Robson Solicitors, Cornerstone Business Solutions, Azets, Erimus Insurance Brokers and Jacksons Law Firm.
Tees Business executive editor Dave Allan said: “We were blown away by the late rush of entries and nominations for the Tech Awards. We received more than 80 entries in the final two days before the deadline.
“It’s a big step up from the excellent number of 85 entries for last year’s inaugural awards, but it’s also the first time we’ve broken the 100-entries barrier for any of our awards events.
“There’s clearly pent-up demand and a delayed need for celebration for a sector that’s continued to grow despite the Covid restrictions. We’re looking forward to a real party atmosphere at the big event.”
Dave’s business partner Martin Walker added: “We’re delighted to have Teesside University and Python Properties on board as category sponsors, leaving just one category sponsorship remaining.
“The sponsors now face an incredibly tough choice in selecting only three finalists in each category because the entries reflect quality as well as quantity. The competition will be intense – but good luck to all who’ve taken the time to enter.”
Entries/nominations in each category will now be forwarded to the category sponsors to choose just three finalists in each category.
It is planned to announce the finalists in each category as soon as the category sponsors make their decision, so listen out for the announcement of finalists from as early as May 10.
The event itself will take place on the evening of Thursday, July 1, at the new venue of Hardwick Hall, where the Coleman Suite will provide the perfect backdrop for one of the first live North-East events following the lifting of government restrictions.
With capacity limited to 280, organisers will also ensure comfortable social distancing around the room and will naturally follow any Covid-safety guidelines provided by the government.
A limited number of tickets for the event are available to book, priced £85 + vat each, or £800 + vat for a table of 10. This includes arrival drink, four-course dinner, table wine and, of course, seats for the main event – the 2021 Tees Tech Awards including speeches, finalist videos created by Wander Films and presentations to winners and finalists.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to reserve seats or have a query.
If the government’s roadmap goes off course, there remains the potential to revert to a virtual event on the same date, as with the inaugural awards last year.
