OCALS embraces digital change

The world has pivoted for personal search provider OCALS, a one-stop service for all conveyancing requirements – and boss Jeremy O’Connor is excited to offer solicitors an innovative digital package to help them onboard new clients.

OCALS – which stems from O’Connor Associates Legal Services – is staffed by a team of local people, all experts in their field, with a second-to-none knowledge of the area and offering helpful and friendly support.

The Stockton-based company specialises in local authority and public utility searches, although it offers a range of more than 80.

OCALS managing director Jeremy said: “Our new digital package means that solicitors will be able to provide a quicker and better client experience by offering everything from quotation through to completion online, 24 hours a day, in the comfort of the client’s own home.

“From the initial quotation to uploading identification and other documentation, to signing terms and conditions forms – even anti-money laundering checks can now be done remotely at the click of a button.

“The new software saves the client from having to take their passport, proof of address and other necessary paperwork into a solicitor’s office to progress conveyancing. It also saves staff at the solicitors from having to copy and file these documents.

“Solicitors’ clients are given a digital vault where any valuable legal documents can be kept and accessed by them 24 hours a day,” adds Jeremy.

“We have found that firms who have used the software have shaven around three weeks off the time it usually takes to open a case, which, considering our ever-busier lives, is a win-win for all concerned.”
