Stockton-based technology and data insight company, Vianet, has been listed as one of Technology’s 50 Best Companies to Work For.

Vianet’s place on the list was announced during Best Companies Live, an online event to celebrate the awards.

Having taken part in the Best Companies employee engagement survey for the last four years, the firm received their highest scores yet.

The accreditations officially recognise the UK’s best organisations and benchmark workplace engagement across all regional sectors and national lists. A similar approach to how the Michelin star system signifies excellence in the hospitality sector, Best Companies’ star-based ratings system is the equivalent used to recognise the very best in the workplace.

Vianet has been quietly making an impact in their chosen sectors via a commitment to “continuously delivering data insights” for their clients in the hospitality and unattended retail sectors across the UK and Europe.

Vianet specialise in transforming business performance through real time monitoring systems and data management services.

The firm says it is continuously innovating and evolving its services and products, using the growth of the business to nurture their own employee development.

Michelle Staniforth, the firm’s head of people and development, said the importance of inspiring people, championing their growth and excellence is a priority at Vianet.

Receiving this latest recognition in creating the best environment and workplace engagement was, she said, therefore testament to the great people involved.

Several Vianet managers were recognised by their teams at the highest level as 3* managers. Based on the engagement survey completed by Vianet employees, this year’s results showed a “huge improvement” in employee engagement across the business, and particularly in leadership and management.

“We are delighted to be recognised as having very good levels of engagement and to have received our place in Technology’s 50 Best Companies to Work For,” said Michelle.

“Our highest scoring factor is ‘My Team’ and ‘My Manager’, both of which are testament to the relationship we believe is so important to employee engagement.”

Established in 1994, Vianet Group provides real time monitoring systems, contactless payment solutions and data management services in the unattended retail and hospitality sectors.

Vianet has more than 300 customers including a number of global blue chip companies and more than 250,000 devices connected to its Internet of Things platform.
