Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments is a UK-based aparthotel business that offers both leisure and corporate guests high-quality, city centre accommodation.
The brand – which launched in Middlesbrough earlier this year – provides companies looking for that home-away-from-home experience the perfect solution to their accommodation needs.
Now with more than 550 apartments globally, Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments has more than doubled its portfolio in less than two years.
And in just four short years, founder, managing director and owner Tom Smyth has grown the business from a start-up company to one of the UK’s leading serviced apartments providers.
The impressive Dream brand continued to grow throughout the pandemic and recently opened a further 42 apartments in the heart of Middlesbrough.
The apartments have everything corporate guests could need, including on-site car parking, super-speedy wifi and comfortable furnishings.
They are also close to all major transport systems, around two minutes away from major motorway links and 30 seconds from the town’s railway station.
The Middlesbrough location also offers spacious office facilities, which are available to rent alongside the apartments. This impressive facility is perfect for corporate guests doing business while on the go.
Tom believes Middlesbrough is a major business hub that’s set for exponential growth. He feels a strong connection to the town and believes it has the potential to attract not just millions but billions of pounds of investment – and he wants to be a part of what he sees as an emerging industrial powerhouse.
He says the positivity of both Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen and Middlesbrough mayor Andy Preston about their vision for the future of the area inspired him to invest in the town.
“Middlesbrough is an excellent addition to the Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments portfolio,” said Tom.
“After seeing the demand for corporate accommodation in the town and Teesside overall, it felt like the perfect fit for us.
“Opening 42 apartments in Middlesbrough is only the start – we’ll be opening a further 120 apartments in the next 12 months.
“We have also just expanded into Scotland and opened luxury serviced apartments in Dundee. The expansion continues and Dream continues to dominate the corporate and leisure industry.”
Tom’s investment in the Teesside area comes at a time when he believes new jobs could be on the horizon after the freeport opened for business and with the multi-million-pound development on the former steelworks site forging ahead.
He also feels a strong affinity to the town and Middlesbrough Football Club, where his father, Tommy Smyth, had trials as a 16-year-old. This connection led to Dream becoming Official Gold Partners with the club.
MFC’s head of commercial Lee Fryett said: “We are delighted to announce Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments as an Official Gold Partner for the 2021/22 season.
“We look forward to working with Tom and the team to build a strong relationship as they open new apartments in the heart of Middlesbrough as part of their continued expansion.”
Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments’ brand-new Middlesbrough location is only a four-minute drive from the Riverside Stadium, making it a perfect spot to stay when visiting the town or to watch the next Boro match.
