If you have any queries, please email info@teesbusiness.co.uk.

We’re looking for a start-up business (started since November 2018) that’s enjoyed amazing results in terms of growth, job creation, contract wins and turnover. The Best New Business will be one that already looks set to make its mark on Teesside and beyond for many years to come.

If you’ve launched in style into the service industry (since November 2018), then this is the category for you! Tell us why you’re the best new service business around and you can be an award-winner.

This category is for outstanding new businesses in the creative sector (started since November 2018) – including art, design, fashion, film, music, publishing, software, games and architecture. Can you create a winning entry?

Manufacturing has long been the heart of the British economy – and in the Tees region we’re renowned for it. Our traditional manufacturing industries of shipbuilding and steelmaking may have declined, but we want to hear from new manufacturers who are making their mark (businesses started since November 2018).

It’s been an incredibly tough time for the retail sector – and we take our hats off to you if you’ve launched a retail business and survived the challenges of the past 18 months and more. Let’s hear what makes your retail business (started since November 2018) special…

All the changes following Brexit mean exporting is a heap more complicated than it once was – but opportunities continue to abound beyond our shores. Tell us why your export business (started since November 2018) is surviving and thriving!

If you can grow a new hospitality business (started since November 2018) in this climate, you can achieve almost anything! Tell us how you did it – and what makes you so special.

The winner of this category will be a business (started since November 2018) that shows real innovation – something that’s a bit different but successful too.

To win this category, you’ll need to be showing true community spirit – helping your Tees community in the most challenging of times despite only having started your own organisation since November 2018.

Some people just have that knack of coming up with fantastic ideas – and delivering on them. From the very start, it’s clear they’re going places. To win this award, you’ll have launched your own business (or businesses!) since November 2018 and will be taking them to the next level!

We’re looking for inspirational stories about those who’ve overcome huge challenges or setbacks to launch their own new businesses (since November 2018). You know who they are. It’s up to you to nominate them!

This award will recognise an apprentice that’s coming flying out of the blocks with a combination of talent, hard work, ambition and achievement.
