The Tees Businesswoman of the Year will be a female who has an established record for inspiring others with her outstanding leadership, performance and results but has particularly excelled over the past 12 months. She will be an outstanding achiever, a shining beacon – the ultimate role model for the region’s businesswomen of the past and future.

For this coveted award, we’re looking for a woman who has inspired others – women and men - throughout their career and life. They might have inspired via their own prominent role or because they have always gone out of their way to try to inspire and support others within their industry. We are looking for someone who is an inspiration to other businesswomen because of their sustained success over many years. They will have had and will still be enjoying an inspirational career.

For this category, we’re looking for unique women who truly break the mould – those who are achieving success in a traditionally women-free zone. Perhaps they’re enjoying success in a job in a sector that’s dominated by men or perhaps they’re doing something that people are often surprised a woman does.

The winner of this award will be a woman who truly inspires others – especially other women – someone who goes out of their way to act as a role model and to make other females believe in themselves.

We’re looking for an individual who is relatively new to the world of business but who is already foraging a successful furrow. Ideally it will be someone who has arrived on the scene within the last 3 years. They might have set up their own small venture (with our without others) or they might be making a real impact within a Small Business or larger organisation. Either way, they’ll be someone who already has much to shout about from their early successes.

We’re looking for a female-inspired Tees business that’s enjoyed outstanding recent success and is achieving excellent results within their business sector. The Business of the Year does not have to be run solely by women but a woman or women will be a key inspiration behind the company, either leading the business or playing a key role in it achieving its success – or perhaps a high percentage of the workforce are women.

We’re looking for a female-inspired Tees Small Business that’s enjoyed outstanding recent success and is achieving excellent results within their business sector. The Small Business of the Year does not have to be run solely by women but a woman or women will be a key inspiration behind the company, either leading the business or playing a key role in it achieving its success – or perhaps a high percentage of the workforce are women.
Open to businesses with no more than 10 employees

We’re looking for a female-inspired Tees business that’s been founded since January 2018 that’s already enjoyed eye-catching success and is achieving excellent results within its business sector. The Best New Business does not have to be run solely by women but a woman or women will be a key inspiration behind the company, either leading the business or playing a key role in it achieving its success – or perhaps a high percentage of the workforce are women.

The winner of this award will be a Tees organisation that provides fantastic training and/or apprenticeship opportunities to females.

This category is for the Tees region’s charitable and voluntary organisations to shout about how women are helping their organisation to succeed and/or how they are helping women. (max 200 words)

Student of the Year
This award will be won by an outstanding female student. It doesn’t matter what their subject(s) or whether they’re in school, college, university, apprenticeship or training scheme. What’s important is that they’re achieving stand-out results – and acting as a role model to their fellow students.
